General Questions

What is SnapWorks?

SnapWorks is a collection of free, browser-based tools designed to make everyday digital tasks easier. Our tools help developers, designers, writers, and other digital professionals streamline their workflow.

Is SnapWorks free to use?

Yes, all of our current tools are completely free to use without any limitations or hidden fees.

Do I need to create an account?

No, SnapWorks doesn't require any account creation or sign-in process. You can use all tools immediately without providing any personal information.

How do you handle my data?

All processing happens locally in your browser — we never upload your files to any server. Your documents, images, and code stay on your device, ensuring complete privacy.

Using Our Tools

Can I use these tools offline?

Yes! Once the page loads, our tools work completely offline. This makes them useful even without an internet connection once the initial page has loaded.

Are there file size limits?

Since processing happens in your browser, file size limits depend on your device's memory and processing power. Most modern devices can handle files up to several MB without issues.

What browsers are supported?

SnapWorks works best in modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser updated to the latest version for optimal performance.

Can I use these tools on mobile devices?

Yes, all our tools are responsive and work on mobile devices. However, some complex operations may be easier to perform on desktop devices with larger screens.

PDF Tools

Can I edit PDF content?

Currently, our PDF tools allow you to merge PDFs, split PDFs, and convert PDFs to other formats. Direct content editing is not available yet, but we're working on adding this feature in the future.

Are password-protected PDFs supported?

Our current tools don't support password-protected PDFs. You'll need to remove the password protection before using our tools to process these files.

Code Formatters

What coding standards do your formatters follow?

Our code formatters follow widely-accepted style guidelines for each language. For example, the JavaScript formatter follows standard ES6+ conventions, while the Python formatter follows PEP 8.

Can I customize the formatting options?
